Rudy! Rudy! Rudy!

Rudy's sack on YouTube (heh) spliced together from original game film and the radio play by play.

I must confess I've never seen this movie. I'm not big on heartwarming drama. However, I am a fan of Samwise, especially since his pop was Gomez Addams. Besides, it does my Bulldog alum heart good to see someone beating Georgia Tech.

Amazing Comic

This is from the guy who created Subnormality, one of my favorite comics. One of these days I need to update all the links on the sidebar, it's like a snapshot of the stuff I was reading in 2005. Anyway, he did this comic for an anthology and it's just fantastic. Horrifying, heartbreaking, and just plain terrifying, but amazing. It reminds me a lot of some of the really good underground stuff that was created back in the late '60s/early '70s. Spiegelman, Bodé, Crumb, that kind of stuff. It's probably not safe for work, and be warned that you will greatly affected by reading this but it's well worth it.

So I Changed The Name Of My Shitty Blog

It seemed like the times demanded it.

For old times' sake, here is the inspiration to the old title.

When I created the blog, that particular refrain seemed appropriate. It's a new day however, so I've decided to make the title more optimistic. Thankfully I had another inspiration for this title to make it all personal and stuff:

Hey, I just said the times had changed, I didn't say they weren't still terrifying as hell.

How To:

CREATE A LIST OF BEATLES SONGS FROM WORST TO BEST:

Step 1: Write the name of every Beatles song on its own 3 by 5 index card.

Step 2: Shuffle all the cards.

Step 3: Throw all the cards off the observatory deck of the Empire State Building.

Step 4: Search the streets of Manhattan for the cards.

Step 5: Rank the songs in the order you find the cards. The first song you find is teh suxxorz. The last card you find is the best song ever.

There you have it! Instant Beatle Song Ranking System!

And no matter what happens, it's still better than this shitty list!

Archives completed: Questionable Content

Questionable Content

Ok fine, it's a 'romance' webcomic. It's still funny as hell and I have a tooncrush on Hanners, just like every other nerd on the interwebs. I didn't even mean to go through the whole archives, it just sorta happened. It's kinda fascinating how the art evolves on that strip... I mean, it changes so much, but you really don't notice the change and it's never really "bad" art. It's just a little more minimalist at the beginning. Still, it's a good comic and I finished the archives, which is something I haven't done with a webcomic in years. At least since Fans! and Elf Life burned my ass long ago. Maybe I should buy a shirt to celebrate. I'm thinking the Giant Isopod shirt. I feel pretty.

Gonna do Overcompensating next. I've heard Wigu is better but I have yet to read an Overcompensating comic that did not make me laugh.

Delta 5 - Mind Your Own Business

I don't know what's more awesome, the song or the dude dancing in the streets of Montreal.

I actually like "Try" better, but I can't seem to find it anywhere.

My absolute favorite thing of the year

EVERY year.

The Beast's 50 Most Loathsome People In America article is out. I am happy.

Of course this means the rest of the year is completely fucking downhill like a greased elephant seal down a luge course, but I'm used to that.

And now, for no discernible reason, Radiohead.

Cat Stevens - Wild World

This is one of those songs I could put on a loop and listen to for hours.
